We built Semargi for people who need this to be private. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and how it's protected. If anything here isn't clear, email us at hello@semargi.com — we'll answer directly.
What we collect
- Booking details. When you book, you give us an email address, a name you'd like us to use, and optionally your pronouns. You don't need to use your legal name.
- Payment information. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles that on their own secure systems.
- Session content. Your stylist may take private notes during your sessions to prepare your written guide and remember your situation for future sessions. Sessions are not recorded, and notes are never shared outside your stylist's own preparation for your care.
- Site analytics. Like most sites, we use cookies and pixels (Meta Pixel, Reddit Pixel, and PostHog) to understand which pages and ads are working, and to measure whether someone who saw an ad went on to book. These tools see anonymized behavior — page visits, button clicks — not the content of your sessions.
How we use it
- To schedule and run your sessions, and follow up afterward with your product guide.
- To process payment and send you a receipt.
- To send a reminder if you started but didn't finish booking (an abandoned-checkout email) — you can ignore it if you've changed your mind.
- To measure how our ads are performing, so we can keep this service running and reach more people who need it.
We do not sell your information to anyone, for any reason.
Who else sees it
A small number of vendors process data on our behalf, only for the specific job they do:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Calendly — session scheduling.
- Resend — sending confirmation and reminder emails.
- Google Sheets — our internal record of who's booked, used only by our small team.
We are not affiliated with, and do not share information with, any organization, employer, or government body that could use it against you. That matters to us as much as it matters to you.
Cookies & tracking
You can block or clear cookies at any time in your browser settings, or use tools like ad blockers, without losing access to booking a session. Blocking analytics just means we won't know an ad led you here — it won't affect your service.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and session records as long as you're an active or returning client, so your stylist can pick up where you left off. If you'd like your information deleted, email hello@semargi.com and we'll remove it, minus anything Stripe is legally required to retain for payment records.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
